Commentary:
Liangmen has similar properties
to Zhongwan (Ren 12), and is often used in
conjunction with or instead of Zhongwan when
there is severe pain in the lateral areas.
Liangmen regulates the transformation
of food in the Stomach/Spleen and is indicated for
a wide variety of Stomach problems, including poor
appetite, borborygmus, undigested food in the stool,
and diarrhea.
Liangmen has a particular effect
on diarrhea, especially diarrhea that has become chronic
due to advancing deficiency. In other words, the more
the diarrhea persists, the more deficient the patient
becomes and the more deficient the patient becomes,
the more the diarrhea becomes uncontrollable. Liangmen
is the point of choice for this condition.
