The Ox
Original Drawing by Shi-He Wang
The Ox is the 2nd sign of the Zodiac.
If you were born between January 6th and February 3rd, your
month animal is the Ox.
The Ox rules between the hours of 1.00 am and 3.00 am.
The sturdy and practical Ox, most often prefers the tried and
tested to the latest fad.
The Ox is Yin by nature.
The Ox can be creative in the sense of adapting what is already
established.
Persistent and determined, the Ox is most definitely not afraid
of hard work and usually approaches any task methodically and
with a patient attention to detail.
While Oxes make excellent leaders, they are also prone to pursuing
the life of a loner.
Ox people are stubborn by nature, and at their worst can be
rigid, jealous and vindictive.
The Ox is sometimes referred to as the Buffalo.
How the Ox relates to;
The Rat; These two are opposites but form a close bond and
the chances of a successful relationship is high.
Another Ox; The very picture of stability, these two are a
strong couple unlikely to let much stand in their way.
The Tiger; The charismatic Tiger tends to avoid the stable
Ox. The Ox is definitely in charge of this relationship, which
may take some of the edge off the Tiger's public image.
The Rabbit; The stable Ox is very much attracted to the Rabbit.
This is an auspicious union likely blessed with many children.
The Dragon; The stable Ox and the magical Dragon is an unlikely
combination.
The Snake; This is a very favourable combination as each compliments
the other both in business and personal relationships.
The Horse; Both share the same field but return to different
stables. However, stability and companionship is very important
to each, even if there is not much romance.
The Goat/Sheep; This relationship needs a great deal of understanding
to work, as there is a tendency to underestimate the Goat.
The Monkey; Not the ideal couple, but with the Monkey's humour
and the Ox's common sense, this relationship could work.
The Rooster; The Rooster is an ideal mate for the Ox, both
in business and romance. Mutual support keeps these two in harmony.
The Dog; A great deal of understanding of each other's needs
is required to make this relationship work.
The Pig; Together these two are determined to create a happy
and stable home life, as well as an orderly and profitable business
partnership. There is both a sympathetic ear and practical support.
