The Sheep/Goat
Original Drawing by Shi-He Wang

The Sheep is the 8th Sign of the Zodiac.

If you were born between July 7th and August 6th, your month animal is the Sheep.

The Sheep rules between the hours of 1.00 pm and 3.00 pm

The Chinese word for Sheep also means Goat, or even 'Ram.' This is why this astrological sign is often portrayed as a Goat. This is the feminine or Yin aspect of the House of Sexuality. Herds of Sheep are all female, so the Sheep represents the feminine side. When Yang, the sign is presented as a Goat.

The Sheep represents all matters pertaining to women's interests, caring qualities, a desire to help others, female beauty, attraction, seductiveness, humility and patience.
The Sheep has an interest in literature, the arts, music, and activities which can be shared.
The Sheep represents family harmony, and the culinary arts.
Even the most Yang and manly man should have some Yin in his character in order to be successful.
Sheep people tend to be sweet natured, peaceful, well mannered and artistic.
At their worst, Sheep people can be intrusive, irresponsible, and inclined toward melancholy.

How the Sheep relates to;

The Rat; In the relationship yin and yang have a tendency to pull at each other rather than compliment each other, especially in the area of home and hearth.

The Ox; Mutual respect and kindness towards each other may be difficult for these two.

The Tiger; The Tiger is a stimulating partner for the Sheep, but sets the bar much higher than the Sheep is usually willing to aspire to.

The Rabbit; The Rabbit is an ideal partner for the Sheep. There is great happiness, and many mutual interests. These two will be happy raising a large family, or unifying a second family for either or both.

The Dragon; This union is strained especially around the area of finances.

The Snake; Despite separate lives this is an auspicious union. Life together is very happy and productive. There is prosperity, a thriving business, and harmony at home. There is mutual enjoyment of both the finer things and the more humdrum everyday things.

The Horse; Life with the Horse is well ordered and secure. Everything has a place and everything must be in its place. This applies to family members as well as inanimate objects.

The Sheep; This is a union that is bound to find contentment no matter what. All obstacles are overcome. Everything is taken as it comes. The relationship is something the couple cherishes and cultivates. An auspicious union.

The Monkey; The Monkey provides fresh and stimulating companionship. This is a practical union with few flights of fancy. By being individuals, each benefits the other. Understanding differences may provide a challenge.

The Rooster; The Rooster is far better as a Romantic partner, while differences may cause friction in business. While goals may be shared, how each gets there is far different. Business and home life are best kept separate.

The Dog; The Sheep and the Dog tend to take different routes to the same goal, causing some friction along the way. Each should try not to make decisions without consulting the other. In this way this relationship will be kept on an even keel.

The Pig; An auspicious union. Generally considered the best choice for those for whom romance, home life, and family are a priority. In business, there is a better chance for success if the product has something to do with home and/or family.
