Self Healing 3

Here there are actually two points to consider.

Position 3a - Move the hands forward so that the palm of the hand is over the temple. Specifically you are aiming for a point just posterior to the outer canthus of the eye. This is commonly called the 'Temple' position.

Position 3b - Move the hands back until the palm of the hand is directly over the centre of the ear. This is commonly called the Ear Position.

Position 3a.

Taiyang / Supreme Yang

The point being accessed here is an extra point called Taiyang. Taiyang (pronounced tie yang) is one of the more popular points used in Acupuncture. Its main funtion is to treat headaches, especially temporal or one - sided headaches like Migraines.

It is also much used for 'dimness of vision.' In a metaphysical sense this includes psychological and even spiritual vision.

Surprisingly, this point is also effective for treating breast disharmonies in women.

Position 3b is the ear canal. In ear Acupuncture the ear is seen as an upside down fetus, with various parts of the ear providing access to all parts of the body. Located directly at the ear opening are the entry points to all the major internal organs. Lining up Laogong, then, with the ear canal conducts Reiki energy directly to all the major internal organs. Locally, this position is indicated for all kinds of ear problems.
